Skier's Haute Route
Urner Haute Route which is also nicknamed as Skier's Haute Route is a 5 day hut to hut ski tour between Andermatt and Engelberg. It's become more known in the last few years and I dare to say the ones who have done it are happy that they did!
Skiing terrain
It's an amazing traverse of the mountains with different variations where you have 1000-1600 meters ascents per day and you get equally long or longer ski runs down mostly on northern aspects. So a lot of times there is also good snow to be had! I've done this tour about 10 times now for sure and it's one of my absolute favorites! The season to do this traverse is between the beginning or middle of March until the end of April.
Accomodation
The accomodation on route is in swiss SAC mountain huts and mountain hotels which offer a comfortable standard during the traverse. You'll get enough good food and can admire beautifu landscapes while you gather energy for the next day.
Season
