Urner Haute Route

Urner Haute Route which is also called by its nickname Skier's Haute Route is a 5 day high quality ski traverse between Andermatt and Engelberg. You will get to move in big terrain and glaciers, ski northern aspects and sleep in excellent Swiss mountain huts. The tour offers different variations so we can choose the best one according to your skill level and mountain conditions.

What to expect?

Requirements for you as a participant are a fitness level that allows for approximately 5 hour/1000-1500m ascents for five days in a row, sometimes carrying the skis for a short while, as well as long descents. Your skiing technique and ski touring skills should be on a decent level. This way you'll be able to enjoy and appreciate the adventure more!

Transfer from Engelberg to Realp

Ascent to Albert Heim hut, 2543m

DAY 2

Ascent to Lochberg, 3074m

Descent to Göscheneralpsee, 1790m

Ascent to Chelenalphütte, 2350m

DAY 3

Ascent to Sustenhorn, 3505m

Descent to Steingletscher Hotel, 1865m

DAY 4

Ascent to Fünffingerstock, 2993m

Descent to Sustlibach, 1950m

Ascent to Sustlihütte, 2256m

DAY 5

Ascent to Grassen, 2946m

Descent to Engelberg, 1150m

Urner Haute Route Price

Contact

1100 chf per person.

Minimum 4 persons.

Smaller groups are also possible for a higher price per person.

Includes: Guide’s fee with planning, organizing and guiding.

Does not include: Other costs e.g. lift tickets, transport, lunch, rental gear. Guide’s costs are to be covered by the guests.

Equipment

When?

Middle of March until the end of April. The best time to do the tour is during the week from Monday to Friday. This way there are less people on the route at the same time.
